Jerzy Nowak: Managing Soil Microorganisms MP3
Jerzy Nowak is a world-renowned researcher and teacher who has traveled around the world, leading teams that look closely at a plant's life cycle and how they are influenced by biology and microorganisms. In this talk in the 2006 Acres U.S.A. conference, he shares the knowledge he's gained from leading research teams with an engrossed audience.
Nowak's research focuses on enhanced plant (including grapes) tolerance to stresses, technology development for sustainable agriculture and landscape management, based on "priming" plant propagules, the planting site, and "precision" management of the rhizosphere, is the ultimate goals of his program. He also initiated and implemented an "Organic Horticulture" program at Virginia Tech.
